Foster

Foster a rabbit

Open your home. Save a life.

We’re just getting started—our success depends on a caring foster network.

Why Fostering Matters

  • Decompress from stress in a safe, indoor home

  • Reveal true personality & needs for better matches

  • Increase capacity to rescue

  • Build home skills: litter habits, socialization, routine

  • Heal up: post-op recovery, weight gain, confidence

  • Short-term commitment, life-long impact

What Fosters Provide

  • Indoor-only housing (x-pen/XL crate or free-roam with base)

  • Daily care

  • Transport to vet/adoption events when needed

  • Weekly updates and photos for listings

  • Smoke-free home; landlord approval if renting

What We Provide

  • Vet coordination

  • Foster coaching & setup help from experienced volunteers

  • Adoption promotion

  • Loaner supplies when available (limited while we grow)

How It Works

  1. Apply → quick form (5–7 minutes)

  2. Application Review → if approved, we’ll contact you to discuss questions/concerns and request photos of the intended space (a simple photo of the room is fine; it doesn’t need to be fully set up—we can help).

  3. Home Visit → virtual or in-person to approve or help set up your space

  4. Paperwork → sign the Foster Agreement and confirm any final details.

  5. Orientation & Match → we’ll match a rabbit to your preferences, share a supplies list, care tips, and support contacts.

  6. Gotcha Day → we coordinate pickup/transport.

We aim to respond within 72 hours—but please be patient; we’re a small team of volunteers.
